A RODEO In The Valley, Really?

It’s that time of year again! Oh, wait a minute.  Let me start again.

While getting ready this morning to show some houses in Orangeville to a awesome family moving from Toronto, I just happened to look at the news paper and saw that Kimstep Farms is hosting their first annual Grand Valley Rodeo on August 17, 18 and 19 2012 at Kimstep Farms. For directions click here

I guess it’s time to pull up your boots, find your big ol’ belt buckle and maybe even a cowboy hat and get over to the Grand Valley Rodeo. So you’ll have three days to enjoy all sorts of rodeo excitement.

To start off the first year they will have, live entertainment, along with classic rodeo routines, there is also space open for vendors and camping for people looking to stay for the weekend 🙂

I think what is going to separate this rodeo from others in the area is the all the homegrown food that will be available.  It’s August don’t you know…you’ll find locally grown corn, beef and potatoes will be grilled throughout the three days.

You might even want to purchase a barbecue ticket as soon as possible, because spots are limited

The schedule of events starts Friday night (Aug. 17) with a cattle sorting event at 5 p.m. then on Saturday, the rodeo kicks off at 2:00 p.m.   The Rodeo slack then takes over the grounds at 5:00 p.m., before the beef barbecue commences at 5:30 p.m.  The live performance from Settlers Creek Band will kick off at 9 p.m. to end the night.  Then Sunday will feature rodeo slack at 10:00 a.m. and the rodeo again at 2:00 p.m.

You can get weekend pass that will Include 2 rodeo shows, Beef BBQ Dinner and Saturday night entertainment for only $75.00 or $20.00 for general admission.
