Want to catch a game (or scarf down some amazing food)? This brand-new sports bar, the creation of a dream team of local restaurateurs, is a complete slam-dunk. In addition to a strong lineup of craft beer, you’ll find some of the best food around town, but their burgers might just take the MVP title.
Downtown Orangeville now has its first Restaurant and Sports Lounge and you definitely NEED to check it out. Holbrooks is located in the former home of TJ’s Hanger, The Vibe and Uno Mas.
Yesterday I met a client there for lunch and I have to say I was Very VERY…impressed. As I entered I was greeted with very friendly servers with big smiles and the decor is awesome! Jess your a awesome waitress! Thanks for a great first experience.
Holbrooks is a high-end sports club, restaurant and event space inspired by the comfort and warmth of an old British soccer club house set in an upscale and elegant sports lounge. Located in the east end of Orangeville, the luxury sports haven includes 8,000 sq. ft. of pure sports and entertainment showcasing the best of world sports. Holbrook’s decor draws its inspiration from the sophistication of modern age, with lots and lots of TV’s. The modern, cozy feel is complemented by plush oversized leather chairs and booths and lengthy almond-brown accented bar. The venue features 50 state-of-the-art HD television screens ranging from 30″ to 70″ seamlessly placed throughout the space for viewing sporting events ranging from European soccer matches, basketball games, baseball games, to boxing matches, American football and HOCKEY of course and anything else sports that I forgot to mention.
The story of their name is something out of the newspaper. Make sure you read it on the back cover of the menu!
The bar seems to combine elements of a high-end sports lounge with nightlife. It kind of reminds me of the Real Sports Bar in downtown Toronto.
The menu has an incredible mix of dishes that is not found in many sports bars such as THAI CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS, SPINACH & ARTICHOKE DIP and so many others that you will need to look at their menu (scroll down) and now after eating there the other day It’s now become one of my favorite restaurant in Orangeville. To experience their full menu, I highly suggest going there with a group with no less than 4 people, you won’t regret it.
The COBB Burger (4.5/5) – This was superior to any craft burger I’ve had so far in Orangeville. The meat was extremely delicate, the eggs just cooked just right and I didn’t even need any ketchup..it’s made with applewood smoked bacon, avocado, poached egg and blue cheese sauce. They even have GLUTEN free buns :). To top it off the bun was branded with their signature logo!
SOHO Salad (5/5) – Again, this was probably the best salad I’ve had. I was actually not a fan of salad about 1.5 years ago. Since then I have come to love them and SOHO get’s full marks! Its made with raspberry balsamic tossed greens topped with fresh strawberries, pickled red onions, goats cheese and almonds.
Steal The Safe Burger (5/5) – If you’re interested I dare you to try to finish this 3 layer STEAL THE SAFE BURGER! Some people may have problems with it and I for one can’t finish this at all never mind the 30 minutes they give you to inhale this beast of a burger and it’s free. A few people have already tried but so for it’s 2-0 for the Steal the Safe Burger. Just as a note….You have to call and give them 24 hrs notice that you want to try this challenge. It’s so mind-blowing that I’m convinced that it will take a while before someone can complete the challenge!
DONNIE GLAZE (5/5) house made glazed donuts substituted as buns surrounding a 6oz burger patty with barbecued pulled pork, crispy onion tangles, creamy slaw and melted american cheddar
(They have many Regular Burger Options, as well as some Creative and out-there Burger Options such as the Donnie Glaze..LOL They also have a breakfast burger that looks cool!
Like I said before, it’s a different place that Orangeville should be proud to have in its community.
Now there are only so many places in Orangeville that offer nightlife. It looks like Holbrooks has that covered as well. They plan on including high-energy music and live bands on the weekends. They also seem to be attracting the mature crowd during the day and I’m sure younger residents will eventually find their way back. Holbrook’s is a place for everyone in my books it’s that good!
Holbrooks even has its own penalty box that seats 18 people and is surrounded with TV’s!!!!
There’s TVs in the bathroom so you can pee and still watch the Leafs lose (joke)..LOL
