I had a client from Toronto ask a question that had me thinking all all week.
“Why would they build a Orangeville Visitor Centre when the internet is the place to find what your looking for?”
I didn’t have an answer at the time but after giving the question some thought, asking a few questions with some of the Orangeville staff and having taken a few clients into the centre I think a have a better understanding of why it’s there.
The Orangeville Visitor Centre is the gateway into Dufferin County and the Headwaters Region and it’s there to assist visitors and locals in traversing the Town and County. The Visitor Centre will offer insider tips and information through computers, for guests who prefer a high-tech experience, and brochures and an on-site concierge, for those seeking a personal approach.
The Visitor Centre will help guests fulfill any expectations by providing access to information that will help them customize their visit. By Including maps, shopping guides, local attractions, events, recreational amenities, things to do and places to visit.
The visitor information services and Theatre Orangeville administration are housed on the ground floor and the upper floor space that is accessed from Lakeview drive can be leased out.
Visitor services will be provided by Theatre Orangeville and will be available
Monday to Wednesday from 11 am to 5 pm
Thursday and Friday from 11 am to 7 pm
Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm
Now I don’t know this for sure but the visitor services staff can also provide pre-booked, guided group tours in Orangeville and assist with the organization of special events and group tour bookings.
I hope you have a positive experience and please comment on the blog 🙂
