Over the years there have been many rumors stirring around that Tim Hortons will be offering services to the town of Shelburne. I don’t know for sure but with the Wriggleworth Plaza being sold last year to Vandyk Companies anything is possible.
This year the plaza will see a much needed “Total building upgrading and site rejuvenation”. So, could the above image be the new location of Tim Hortons? Anything is better than the run down look that has been the staple under the previous ownership.
The sale of the plaza makes perfect sense in my books. It has an excellent retail opportunity at the gateway intersection into the Town of Shelburne. There are units available starting from 1,000 sf.
Think of the intersection as a strategic location with excellent access and exposure. I mean it’s right at the northeast corner of Highway 89 and
Highway 124. The plaza has access from both Highway 89 and 124. And to top it off, there are going to be 400 families living just north by a 30 second drive. Even No Frills is at South East Corner of Intersection.
Shelburne is a very popular tourist route to Collingwood and Owensound with some very high traffic counts, so for business it make perfect sense. Also, Shelburne is a growing community with 2 new residential sub divisions underway with over 700 new homes
If the rumor has any truth to it, can the intersection support a Coffee Time and Pete’s Deli. Only time will tell.
