Every Autumn I always say “wow, its so nice out today I wish I had my camera because the colour of the leaves are AMAZING”. Really, it happens all the time. The first official day of Autumn and I’m in high gear just waiting for the right moment. I seem to always miss it by a few days because of the rain, wind or the clouds.
Although I will miss Summer and the fun it brought, Fall also signals the end of what was a brutal Summer for many. From record heat to a horrible drought, many are rejoicing the fact that Summer 2012 is over.
So this year with the Aspen trees set the scenery ablaze with rich, vibrant color. As fleeting as it is beautiful, the season draws tourists, photographers, and nature lovers from around the province to Dufferin County many provincial parks to catch a glimpse of the leaves before it’s too late. Here’s one tour of a scenic drive in Mulmur to take for maximum exposure.
River Road is a winding 15-km route through the Mulmur Valley—a part of Mulmur’s inner passage 🙂 that is known for its variety. The scenery shifts between Hills, rivers, meadows, and thick aspen groves with famously bright fall foliage. If you drive up to county road 21 at the top of 2nd line East, you will see some amazing views…trust me!
