Day 326 of 365 – Mono Cliff’s Inn

Well it’s been one of those weeks that I feel like I’ve been running from place to place.  I think I need a drink….LOL

Oh yeah, some lunch wouldn’t be to bad either 🙂

Have you even eaten one of ‘those meals.’ You know the one! It’s the one that you are still talking about weeks later and telling your friends about it over and over. It’s the one that makes it hard to go to sleep because you want more! But most importantly it’s one of those places that while you were there you were enjoying the atmosphere, loving the food, and laughing with friends all the while enjoying the awesome service the dedicated staff provide.

Well since 1987 people in the know have been finding their way to Mono Centre to dine at the acclaimed Mono Cliffs Inn. It’s situated at one of the most scenic stretches of the Bruce Trail. It’s the section running through Mono Cliffs Provincial Park and only minutes from where I was the last few days.

Inside you’ll find the dinning room located on the main floor of the inn and seats 60 people. They have an evolving blackboard menu including traditional fare accented by Australian, Asian, Continental and Fusion Cuisine.  Just off the main dining room you’ll find the Magnolia Patio. The patio is fully licensed and offers complete lunch and dinner menus.

Back inside you’ll find the McClaren Room, (named for the artists whose work hands on the walls) is an intimate dining room available for private functions of 10 to 30 people. This is and ideal spot for small weddings, business meetings or staff parties.

But my favorite thing about the Inn is the the Wine Cellar at is located under the oldest section of the Inn. This private room with its thick stone walls lined with an exquisite selection of wine bottles is perfect for small and intimate dining occasions. Dine a la carte, or create your own gourmet menu. The wine cellar may be reserved for two to eight people for an extra $40.00.

The Inn has become the “PLACE” to come for food and wine lovers. Innkeeper Carol Hall is always happy to see familiar faces and welcome new visitors.

So if your driving by you just might want to slow down and take it easy the Mono Cliff’s Inn is one of those places you come across completely by surprise and you just want to settle down and stay for while. It’s totally unexpected and you just might miss it!

Mono Cliff’s Inn is located at RR #1 , Mono Centre Orangeville, ON L9W 2Y8 and is 15 minute drive from Orangeville.
