Day 183 of 365 – The Orangeville Santa Claus Parade

Well,  once again the big man himself, you know the dude..the one and only red suit wearing Santa be in Orangeville today Saturday (Nov. 19) for the annual Santa Claus Parade.  Thousands will once again line the streets in the twilight hours today.  Santa and his elves have worked very hard with the Kinsmen Club of Orangeville to put on this awesome well organized parade so come out and enjoy the show.
The parade gets underway at 5:30 p.m. and well run it’s course for 2 hours and feature a wide array of floats decorated with festive lights.  The parade route will start at Hansen Boulevard and First Street and make it’s way south on First Street were it will turn left onto Broadway and pass through the downtown core. From there, floats will head north on Fourth Street and end at Rotary Park.
During the parade the Orangeville firefighters will be collecting toy donations for The Salvation Army, and the Orangeville Kinettes will be gathering non-perishable food donations for the food bank.
