Day 54 of 365 – Plein Air ‘Paint- In – Artists Against The Mega Quarry

It should be no secret by now that I love my where a live and I love everything about Dufferin County, ON (yes, I also love Caledon!). Now today there is the Plein Air ‘Paint- In.  This is were Artists who paint on location in the open air… en plein air.  There are about 30 + Artists that are raising awarness about The Proposed Baupost Mega Quarry in Melancthon Township.  Our food sources and water are at risk! Our precious Water and Valuable Farmland need your help The Beauty of the Hills of the  Headwaters, Mulmur Hills, Caledon Hills and Georgian Bay are all at risk.

You don’t have to be an artist. You can be a volunteer or just an observer who values the community and culture that is at risk from this proposal!  Come out and enjoy the amazing day!

When you arrive at Carl’s and there will be a map to the proposed sites. The tour bus to the proposed Quarry lands with a drop off at one of the best views in the province, overlooking the valley and the proposed Quarry site is another reason to come.  If your an Artists are welcome to paint there as well!

So come out and Attend a “Paint In” on Sunday July 3rd Canada Day Weekend 11-5pm tt the Cosack family’s Peace Valley Ranch (Rawhide Adventures) 638135 Prince of Wales Rd. south off Dufferin County Rd. 21, beside the Bruce Trail.  in support of Art Tourism, NDACT & CAUSE

Expect to see horses, cows, beautiful vistas, art lovers, quarry activists and media.

The event includes escorted tours to the proposed quarry site. The artwork created during the paint-in will become part of a future exhibit.
